II'm trying to remember ... I think it was last Tuesday when this heat wave started. Tuesday and Wednesday of last week were in the low to mid 70's and it just kept climbing from there. Today 86 is the predicted high! I'm sure it can't last much longer, but it will be a rude awakening when the norm of temps in the 40's returns.

Resale Finds
I went to a huge kid's resale last weekend and scored some fun, inexpensive stuff. The sale is organized by 4 separate multiples organizations at the County Fairgrounds twice a year (March & September). So there are 3 buildings on the fairgrounds full of kid's toys, clothes, furniture, bedding, books, games, etc. I've been before, but this time I was able to go the night before the sale was open to the public as my friend has twins and is a member. Woo Hoo! She got some great stuff too!
Above is a kitchen I actually picked up for a work friend. I decided to let the girls play with it over the weekend and they were having so much fun! They do have their own kitchen but it doesn't have as many drawers and cabinets.
Below are the girls with their new plasmacar. They are a little young for it, but that didn't stop them.

A Random Collection of Photos ...
that I've taken over the last couple of weeks. I have a few more, perhaps I'll get to those tomorrow or early next week. I'm not sure why, but the camera hasn't been out as much lately. I'm sure that will change as the weather continues to get warmer.

Aunt J- Now a Teen!
We attended a lovely party for Aunt J a couple of weeks back. The girls had a great time roaming around and getting into whatever they could find.
Hanging out with Uncle Kirk ... what fun!

No, I didn't plan to dress the girls in matching outfits, and imagine my surprise when they also matched the bean bag!

A Tuesday Evening Ritual: Mother Daughter Bonding
| What? No? You don't want to have your diaper changed? You're too busy to sit still for 2 minutes? |
| What? You'd like to help change your sister's diaper? Okay, but we don't need to empty the wipes container to do it, okay? |

Story Time and Two Weeks of Sick
We've had some sick kids these last couple of weeks. M got sick last week with a low grade fever, sore throat and cough. We're fairly certain M picked this latest strain up at the Children's Museum when she went with her preschool. It's such a cool place but until she stops putting her hands in her mouth so much, I think we'll avoid the place.
Isla woke up Monday morning with 102.5 degree fever. Turns out she caught M's cold and an ear infection to boot.
Maryn has never had an ear infection as far as we know so this has been quite the experience. Isla had a rough couple of days, and nights, but seems pretty much back to her old self now. Well, despite the drippy nose and awful cough. M's cough is still hanging on too. They'll be back to see the Dr. sometime next week for a re-check.
These pictures were taken right before Maryn got sick during a lovely mother/daughters evening when Mike had a late meeting. We read some extra books that night.
They just love to take all the books out of the bookshelf.
